The event is a resounding success for the PrintCity Alliance.
PrintCity is more than pleased with the results of its participation in the 9th UV Days event held by Alliance member IST Metz. The seminars on the food safety aspects of premium finishing techniques were particularly well-attended.
PrintCity Alliance gave extremely positive reviews of the 9th UV Days event, especially of its appearance at the in-house trade fair. In addition to the highly frequented booths, the seminars also attracted the interest of numerous visitors.
Food safety is becoming an increasingly critical issue, particularly in the wake of stricter legislation. The use of UV light is still often viewed critically, even though it is a widespread technology in the market. If the right materials and substrates are selected, and the packaging products used and handled properly, they fulfil all European and Swiss food safety regulations for indirect food contact.
The PrintCity Alliance took advantage of the opportunity to address this subject, presenting numerous samples and case studies on the event’s main stage.
Participating companies included IST Metz (UV curing systems), KAMA (cutting, stamping and gluing machines), LEONHARD KURZ (hot stamping and coating technology, holograms), Metsä Board (folding cartonboard), WEILBURGER Graphics (varnishes, adhesives and water-based flexo inks).
