Pallippuram Sajith, Managing Director, Impel Services P Ltd (Bindwel – Stelda group), speaking about Bindwel avers, “What sets us apart is our commitment to innovation. Our products integrate smart automation, data-driven workflows, and eco-friendly features to meet modern challenges. Second thing is our Customer-Centric Approach. We don’t just sell machines; we build long-term partnerships with robust after-sales service and localized support. Last but not the least is Sustainability. With features like reduced adhesive consumption, energy efficiency, and partnerships for low energy consuming biodegradable adhesives, we’re actively addressing environmental concerns.”
Speaking on the last year, he calls the year 2024 a milestone year for Bindwel. “Professionally, it exceeded our expectations, with significant achievements in both domestic and international markets:
Major Installations: Leading publishers like Gita Press and Mittsure Publications adopted our bookbinding lines, reinforcing our leadership in India.
Global Expansion: We made deeper inroads into Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, setting up service hubs to ensure seamless customer experiences.
Drupa 2024 Success: Our new launches, such as the Freedom 2K short run binder and Insta one book model, were widely appreciated, particularly for their relevance in short-run and personalized publishing.
We also have a vertical for packaging and our end of line packaging machines that go by the brand of Stelda have already carved out a niche among brands as a unique solution that is more sustainable and reduces transit damages. Last year we expanded our venture into packaging by acquiring the primary packaging machines business of Wimco Ltd, a subsidiary of ITC Ltd. The integration process is going on,” explains Sajith.
“We see 2025 as a year of growth and transformation:
Market Expansion: We aim to increase installations by 15% in India and 20% globally. This includes acquiring 125 new customers in the digital post-print segment.
Innovation Pipeline: Launching next-gen hybrid systems and addressing gaps in short-run book printing with new solutions.
Sustainability Goals: Introducing energy-efficient designs and eco-friendly materials to help our customers reduce their environmental impact.
Our strategy includes expanding production capacity with a new SigLoch plant, scaling R&D, and strengthening customer training programs to ensure sustained growth,” says Sajith, when asked about their 2025 plans.
