Quantum Digitals, a digital printing wing of Chennai-based offset major Tamcos, has boosted print excellence with the installation of a new Canon imagePRESS V700 in its production setup.
Tamcos has been in the industry over the last 25 years by engaging in traditional offset printing, working for clients dotted across diverse industrial segments and individuals from different walks of life. “With our long presence and experience in the industry, we keep foraying into new domains, such as digital printing. Quantum Digitals is our whole new venture in the digital domain,” says Mr Aashik Ahamed, Director, Quantum Digitals.
He continues, “Since the domain of digital printing is growing and expanding with constant burst of new business prospects and opportunities, this is where we like to get bigger. That’s the main reason why we invest in the new iPR V700, pull up our sleeves, and start running this highly efficient Canon digital production press. This new Canon machine in our production setup is perfect for short-run or POD (print-on-demand) jobs.”
End-products or items which Quantum Digitals is currently offering are business cards, brochures, magazines, self carbon books, annual reports, desktop calendars, posters, roll-up standees, and many others. “After all, we expansively engage in printing of books on demand as well as various projects for students,” tells Mr Ahamed, adding, “We are able to pull off all these outstandingly using the prowess of iPR V700.”
Capable of delivering quality graphic prints on varied stocks, iPR V700 operates at the speed of 70 A4ppm. It compatibly prints on media ranging from 52gsm up to 350gsm up to 1300mm in length.
“Adoption of this Canon machine, which we installed barely three months back, is indeed a game-changing experience for us to produce digitally printed graphics in superb textures and vibrant colours,” concludes Ahamed.
