Dainik Jagran emerged at the top of the Goafest 2016, Print Abby, with a metal tally of 10 awards – 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 3 Bronze. Dainik Jagran’s ‘Aligarh Lake campaign: a newspaper acts as a galvanizing force to revive a dying lake’ won 2 Gold and the third Gold went to the campaign ‘Preparing a City for the Unknowable.’ The latter campaign also won two Silver metals.
Dainik Jagran’s ‘Janhit Jagran: A newspaper asks its readers to be unreasonable’ campaign won three awards – 2 bronze and 1 silver. Dainik Bhaskar got one Silver for their campaign ‘Nekchand’.
At the event, Jagran bagged all the Gold. It had won four awards at the previous year event.
Abbys awards are compared to Oscars in the advertisement world. It is an important award given for creative excellence. The event this year was attended by 2500 people from the marketing, PR, media, research and advertisement world. Experts from various fields formed the jury to judge the winning entries.
