DGM Automation India displayed Technocut 1050S Automatic Die Cutter and SmartFold Servo X Automatic Folder Gluer at the drupa 2024 exhibition. Puneet Aggarwal, Managing Director, DGM Automation India, find the visitor footfall this time less than their previous drupa. “All the 11 days at drupa were nice but not hectic as this time it was very less crowd than the last drupa,” says Puneet. The SmartFold Servo X automatic folder gluer by DGM was the highlight of the show. “The new technology and way to process 6 corner carton with a fastest speed of 200+meter/min or 32000+ cartons/hr speed made it an attraction for visitors,” says Punnet. Visitors from all over the world (almost 15 countries) visited DGM’s drupa booth and the company booked or sold as many as 30 machines, about 10 of which headed for India in global deals.
One reason for less participation at drupa was strict visa process for visitors particularly from Asian countries. Speaking on the issue, Puneet comments, “We would like to have at least this change at the next drupa, that they have a lenient approach to provide visa to Asian countries for the fruitful drupa outcome.” We had a sizable Indian participation at drupa 2024 and many were first timers, as an exhibitor Puneet wants it better next time. “There will be more displayed machines. Most Indian exhibitors confirmed presence in last moment so they were not well prepared,” he says, adding, “Exhibitors who are eying for the next drupa 2028, they should try to show more specialities rather than generalised items.” Like most other Indian exhibitors at drupa, DGM India too participated on their own without any assistance from the Indian Government. He also thinks the visitors too must prepare well in advance including applying for visa because many applied late this time and got appointment after the show.
