Printing and the Festival of Holi have different facets altogether but both have one thing in common – COLOURs. Delhi Printers’ Association celebrates Holi – the festival of colours – every year to celebrate colours bringing printers and their families under one roof to foster love and brotherhood.
A week before Holi, Delhi Printers’ Association organised its flagship Holi Milan at Shah Auditorium on March 8, 2025. From the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour, distinguished dignitaries, members and their families, everyone reflected the fervour of Holi with a ‘Chandan Tika’ greeting all present at the event. There was dhol (traditional India drums) catching up with festivities and sponsors with their attractive stalls adding to the joyous occasion.
The hall was full with excited audience and included senior former Presidents, Office Bearers and Executive Committee Members assembled on stage.
At the Rangon Bhari Shaam – Aapke Naam, artistes of renowned musical group “SMG Entertainers” presented Fagun-themed Bollywood melodies that commenced with Ganesh Vandana. Artists performed dressed as Radha Krishna and everyone joined them in the lively dance. The stage alive with song and dance performances enchanted the guests. Other attractions included comedy shows and bhangra.
The President of DPA Mr. Puneet Talwar wished everyone on the International Women’s Day. He welcomed and thanked all for participating in DPA’s Holi Milan function. East Delhi MP and Union Minister of State for Cooperative Affairs and Road Transport & Highways Mr. Harsh Malhotra was the Chief Guest and the Guests of Honour were Mr. Ashwini Gupta, President, All India Federation of Printers and Packagers; Prof Kamal Chopra, Past President, AIFMP; Mr. Virendra Sachdeva, President, Delhi Pradesh BJP Committee; and Mr. O. P. Sharma, MLA from Vishwas Nagar.
Mr. Ashwini Gupta praised DPA for the endeavours it has been undertaking for the welfare of the Printing industry. Prof Kamal Chopra indicated the crucial role of each colour in our life. He shared the power of Printing by giving the example of Mr. Harsh Malhotra who as a commercial printer rose to the rank of two Union Ministries.
