At the recently concluded LabelExpo India 2018, UK based Edale offered its Label Presses FL3 and FL5 to the Indian Label Industry.

Darren Pickford, Sales and Marketing Director, Edale terms the recent LabelExpo India 2018 to be their most successful show yet with an increase in the level of enquiries and visitors compared to previous shows.
“It has been a good show for us at Label Expo India with our partner in India – Printers Supply Company based out of Kolkata,” says Darren.
“Footfalls have been reasonable with a number of enquiries to be handled in the coming few days,” shares Amitabh Luthra, the print veteran who runs Printers Supply Co.
Exhibiting alongside were also the recently appointed Service Engineer based in India –Nallasingham Karuppasamy. Nalla has been employed to help expedite on-site response times for customers in the Far East, UAE, India and surrounding areas.
“It has been an extremely busy four days and we have received a fantastic response in regards to our latest machinery range, enquiries are up and I am confident we have made some future partnerships. There was particular interest in the Edale FL range of presses,” says Darren Pickford.
FL3 is a highly productive, cost efficient, quality label and packaging printing press with industry standard automation features, including autonomous inking impression and register “AiiR”. The FL3’s unique print head design means that average down time is cut to a minimum, changeover rates are reduced and the highest graphic quality can be profitably delivered whether short or long run.
“Edale’s automation technology improves productivity, reduces waste and increases print quality whilst making one less dependent on highly skilled operators and can do from 12 microns to 450gsm,” adds Darren.
FL5 Carton line is a single-pass short-run folding carton line which combines print, cut, crease, braille embossing and waste removal into a single machine. It is an ideal machine for short-run work from 1,000 – 100,000 units and reconfigurable for a wide range of sizes and forms. “Advanced tension control, dedicated to handling paper board means that the FL5 can handle substrates up to 600 micron (24pt) thick and 510mm (20″) wide. The FDC-510 can run in line with the FL5, combining low tooling costs with cut, crease, braille, waste stripping and diverging delivery all in a single pass,” says Darren.
The Edale FL5 printing and converting system running in line with the Edale FDC-510, web fed flatbed die cutter, makes a highly efficient solution specifically designed for short run folding carton production.
“We have worked as agents for Edale for many years now and the response at the show has been fantastic. The Edale brand is well recognised globally for the highly automated machines and it is a pleasure to continue the relationship with customers and the Edale team,” concludes Amitabh Luthra.
