Flint Group, India participated in the Technical Workshop organized by Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI) to create awareness for label converters and the industry at Chelmsford Club, New Delhi.
Technical Workshop was mainly based on Narrow-web ink chemistry, Developments in LED curing systems, wealth management and creating value in label printing.
Shailesh Sharma, Senior Technical Manager, Flint Group, India presented on Narrow Web Inks and discussed in detail about UV & Water Based ink components and factors responsible for their complete curing and importance of UV Light Intensity (for complete curing) and importance of pH in water based inks.
Advantages of LED curing vis-à-vis conventional UV curing were talked about in detail. Low maintenance cost, No Ozone emission, lower power consumption being the major benefits of LED curing. Flint Group’s product range, including latest LED curing inks were also presented before the august audience. Presentation session ended with discussion on common printing problems and troubleshooting.
During the Question-Answer session, there was healthy discussion about LED Curing advantages, cost implications and availability of these new generation inks. Flint Group confirmed that once regular demand for LED-UV develops in India, inks will be imported from Flint Group US and maintained in stock.
