On the sidelines of Labelexpo 2024, Industry veteran, Harveer Sahni launches his compilation of label industry stories on the HP booth.
Harveer Sahni, a renowned personality in the Indian Label Industry with over four and half decades of industry existence specifically in the pressure sensitive sphere, is the MD of Weldon Celloplast and an avid blogger on the industry itself. Over the years he has been writing about label printers in the country tracing their growth path as they climbed the ladder in the Indian label arena.
Harveer has been a member of the FINAT membership committee and the recipient of the LMAI award for “lifetime support to Indian Industry”. He is also a recipient of the R Stanton Avery Global Lifetime Achievement award.
On the sidelines of the recently concluded Label Expo 2024, Harveer released his book “Untold Stories of Indian Label Industry” – a compilation of stories of Label printers from across the Indian subcontinent. The book makes an interesting read with Harveer tracing the beginning of the self-adhesive labels in the country from the 1970’s to the manufacturers of Indian Label printing machines in the 2000’s and the transformation of Label printers using the best technology and material available in the world to produce the extremely high-class labels being produced today.
In his inimitable style and his notable resourcefulness, Harveer has put in an interesting book which was launched at the HP Indigo stall in the presence of dignitaries at the show. Well, the books being distributed at the launch were printed on HP Indigo press which was the 2nd one installed by Silverpoint Press in Mumbai recently – indeed the world is going digital. We recommend the book to all who aspire to know more about the history, present and future of the Label industry!
