The company hosts ‘Celebrating Speedmaster CX 75’ seminar at Pune.
Heidelberg India organized “Celebrating Speedmaster CX 75” in Pune to commemorate the launch of Speedmaster CX75 in India. In addition to CX75 highlights, the seminar also focused on Heidelberg’s patented multi-colour concept, and Prinect press manager, as well as partner products, including Steinemann finishing solutions, Gallus ECS 340 label press and MK die-cutting technology.
The knowledge-sharing conference drew close to 50 printers from Pune and surrounding regions. Peter Rego, Business Head – Equipment Sales, Heidelberg India, presented the concept of Smart print-shop and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), while Saseendran Baskaran, General Manager – Press solutions, described Heidelberg’s Multi-color concept and demonstrated with active samples how printers can achieve pantone shades with CMYK and Orange-Violet-Green combination.
After defining the CX75 as ‘multi-talent press in the 50 x 70 format, available in four, five or six-colours,’ Udo Fiebiger, Regional Business Manager – sheetfed solutions, Heidelberg Asia Pacific, expounded the product benefits. Key takeaways from his presentation, include double-diameter impression cylinders open up CX75 for a wide range of applications and substrates, flexible configuration with coating and drying units, easy operations, seamless integration with the Prinect press centre 2 digital workflow.
“We anticipate active interest in CX75 from Indian printers, thanks to features like quick turnaround times, reduced operational foot print and the compact size of equipment,” Ashokan Krishnamoorthy, GM – Prepress Product solutions , stated in his presentation. He also highlighted the Prinect prepress Manager and the significance of prepress solutions in commercial & packaging printing. In his address, Lalitkumar Lamba, Product Manager – Postpress solutions, focused on the latest Steinemann finishing solutions, from Heidelberg’s Switzerland-based partner Steinemann, a provider of digital-foiling solutions. Lalitkumar explained the advantages of foiling equipment – dmax 76 & dmax 106 and the wonders that packaging printers can achieve with coating and foiling applications.
Narendra Kulkarni, Regional Product Manager, Asia – Gallus, described how the best-seller Gallus ECS 340 is a name synonymous with cost-effective label production. He explained how an exceptionally short web path of just 1.1 meters between printing units is instrumental in reducing production wastage significantly. His presentation also included how the granite core helps counteract any build-up of static charges on the ECS 340, because of its non-magnetic and non-conductive properties.
Overall, the event served as a great platform to reaffirm the value and competitive differentiation of Heidelberg and its partner products. Attendance was enthusiastic and lively. Participants called the seminar “productive and useful.”
