The Multifunction Technical CAD Printer from Epson has been installed by Zest Solutions at Hira’s Bandra facility.
Hira Prints & Stationers has installed a brand new Epson SureColor SC T5430M at its Bandra East facility. “This is the first machine installed in Mumbai region by Zest Digital Solutions,” says an enthusiastic Manish Suresh Chavan, Director, Hira Prints & Stationers.
The all in one machine with capability to Print, Copy and Scan is a sleek and fast production multifunction printer that can be used for a whole range of applications including, CAD, GIS POP applications, photography production, and signage applications.
“We already had a vast clientele for CAD, GIS, Banner, POP, and MAPS. Along with this we saw an increase in demand for signage, photography, and events work. As we already had two different machines catering to each segment viz. CAD and wide format graphics, we decided to buy this machine to cater to different segments with just one machine,” says Manish when asked about their decision to go for their recent Epson MFP.
Before finalizing on Epson SC T5630DM, they considered a few other competitive machines but Epson won hands down when it came to features, productivity and quality. “Before finalizing this machine we looked for many products but Epson SC T5630DM won over them all. Not only it had a robust build quality, but its huge cartridge system of 1600 Ml per ink was a big advantage. In addition, its wider gamut of ink which includes CMYK & LC LM was particularly impressive which enables not only crisp colours, but also brings them more and more vivid and accurate,” praises Manish.
Manish is the third generation in the print business. His grandfather, Shelar Dadu Chavan had the first photocopy machine in Bandra back then in the 1980. When his father, Suresh Shelar Chavan took over, they already had 10 photocopy machines in the 1990. When Manish joined his family business in the year 2000, they shifted from a conventional photocopy center to press catering to Digital, Offset, Signage as well as Print on Demand. Today, Hira Prints & Stationers has a Digital Press as well as an Offset Press catering to the demand of their diverse clientele. “We have complete Digital and Offset set up for commercial printing along with packaging. We cater to Architects, Interior Designers, Garment Segment, Ad Agencies, Freelancers, Corporates, Government Entities like Mhada, PWD, Collector Office, Students, Packaging Industry, Pharma, FMCG, Electronics, D2C and E-commerce. We have a Digital and Offset Press and now we are also catering to Signages for events,” informs Manish.
They have a Canon C650 Press which they use for Digital short run, Variable Data Printing. Along with other machines to cater to short-run jobs, they have Binding and Post finishing machines like lamination, foiling, various shapes cutting etc. other key machines include: HP DesignJet D5800, HP DesignJet T2500, Roland RA-640 for Canvas, Flex, Backlit, and Vinly to cater to the Signage Industry.
The commercial and packaging industry is being catered to by – Heidelberg SM72, Heidelberg SM 102V and Heidelberg 2 colour. Other Post printing equipment include those for drip-off, side pasting, foiling, punching and machines to answer large offset volumes.
Though the output varies as per demand, the digital print output is about 1.5 to 2 lac copies per month at Hira P&S.
Epson printer is a fast machine. “Apart from the cost-efficient ink to be competitive and aggressive in the market, the product speed is marvelous which ensures timely deliveries and are also the key deciding factors to go for this machine,” declares Manish.

The Epson SC T5630DM advantages in day to day operations are a bonus. The Best Advantage, according to Manish is the ink tank – it is of huge volume i.e. 1600 ml each so there is continuous production along with the dual 3-core media which is auto-fed which again helps in saving time for re-feeding and re-loading. “The machine is energy efficient as it is inkjet printing core technology. Plus, the machine is made out of 30% recycled plastic, and the ink comes in recycled plastic ink pouches instead of bulky ink cartridges,” reveals Manish.
