Shilp Gravures has installed India’s first Kodak Flexcel NX Wide 50×80 system. The system will boost Shilp’s flexographic capability, increase productivity and improve output. Kodak Flexcel NX will enable the company to make large-format plates and better answer the demands of corrugation industry.
The FLEXCEL NX System delivers significant on-press efficiencies reducing ink and substrate waste, uses fewer plates per job for considerable savings in press set-up costs, uses plates lasting longer for less downtime and enables presses to run faster increasing availability. Flexcel NX Plates enable the use of fewer plates per job by virtually eliminating the use of two black plates and reducing the need for double hits of white and spot colours. A wider achievable colour gamut enables the use of fixed colour palette printing leading to considerable savings in press set-up costs.
Shilp Gravure, based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is one of Asia’s largest gravure cylinder manufacturers. The company showcased its latest possession at the recent PlastIndia 2018 exhibition that took place in Ahmedabad.
