In 2021, Jain Transfer Products has made a significant leap in its production capabilities by installing a 7-colour Domino N610i digital printing press at its Noida plant. The state-of-the-art machine revolutionised their printing processes, offering unparalleled quality and efficiency. We had the opportunity to speak with Rishab Jain Partner at Jain Transfer Products and Parshav Jain, who shared insights into the innovation and cutting-edge technology that Domino N610i bought into their business.
Jain Transfer Products, was established by Late Shri Puran Chand Jain in 1980. His son Mr. Sudhir Jain took over the reins from him. Over the years, together with his sons, he led the company expanding its offerings to cater to different market segments. “Initially, we specialized only in transfer image products and have since evolved to become pioneers in the production of pressure-sensitive labels,” says Mr. Rishab Jain. “We were one of the first in India to introduce roll-to-roll labels. Today, my brother Parshav Jain and I are continuing this legacy by specializing in self-adhesive labels and manufacturing unique labels, such as multilayer labels. Our products are utilized across various industries, including FMCG, pharma, cosmetics, and more,” he adds.
Jain Transfer Products specialises in creating customised products and develops tailored label products for its customers keeping in view their specific needs. With digital printing capabilities, they can offer advanced security printing and multilayer labels to enhance the products’ functionality and security. “Our state-of-the-art production equipment includes flexo machines, a roll-to-roll screen printing machine, multiple defect detection systems, and the Domino N610i digital printing press, all designed to deliver exceptional quality and reliability desired by our customers,” shares Rishab.
With the emergence of ecommerce, start-ups, small brands and private labels were seen across the shelf. Observing this market change, Rishab saw a shift from longer run length jobs to short and medium run length jobs. “We aimed to serve this growing market trend without sacrificing money on a click-charge option,” he says. In 2019 during Label Expo in Europe, they explored various technologies and then followed up with few trials in India. they found that the Domino N610i perfectly aligned with their requirements and those of their customers. “The ever-decreasing lead times and high expectations from our customers to further decrease them was a significant factor in our choice of the Domino N610i,” Rishab reveals. Since its deployment, the Domino N610i hasn’t let them down with their customers while delivering their products in tight timelines. “This advanced press also enables us to execute value-added printing tasks, such as embedding secure codes inside labels for authentication. These specialised jobs are essential for high-value products, ensuring both quality and security,” adds Parshav.

Remembering the crucial Covid times, Rishab tells that there was a widespread economic concern among businesses during the pandemic. All products required packaging, but due to a lack of labour and the non-availability of bureaus supplying printing, it became difficult to operate conventional presses. “While our clients supplying non-essential goods willingly shut down temporarily, several clients in essential segments like pharmaceuticals, essential drug manufacturing, edible oil production, and sanitizer companies, needed our support to keep their operations running. The digital technology of the Domino N610i opened new segments and print options for print service providers like us. As run lengths have decreased and print quality on inkjet presses has risen significantly, digital technology has served as a wonderful solution,” emphasises Rishab.

Domino N610i has special capability to handle unique jobs
Sharing an incident when Domino N610i outshined for Jain Transfer Products, Rishab says, “Once an esteemed customer of ours requested a colour QR code with an embedded image – a task that required variable data printing. Our Domino N610i outperformed other presses in our experience by successfully completing this job. In terms of both pricing and quality, the Domino N610i proved to be the ideal solution. While many machines are capable of generating QR codes and performing variable data printing, embedding a variable image within a colour QR code is a unique specification that this machine handled impressively.”
