Esko has announced the appointment of Jason Chia as Business Development Director – Flexo, South East Asia and South Asia reporting to John Winderam, General Manager, Southern Asia Pacific for Esko as of 25th April 2016.
Jason will lead the current Esko flexo business for South East Asia and South Asia regions. Jason was most recently the Sales Leader/Business Development & Account Manager, Packaging for Asia Pacific at Kodak, handling flexo packaging consumables and equipment sales. Prior to Kodak, he joined Esko’s customer, Sevenace Group as Deputy GM (Sales & Marketing) for South China and Hongkong, based out of Guangzhou.
Sevenace is a distributor of Toray’s brand of letterpress plates and its product portfolio complemented the narrowweb printing segment of which Esko’s pre-press software and CDI were part of the solution offerings. Jason’s foray into the pre-press packaging and printing industry was really back in 1997 when he joined then Barco-Graphics as a young field service engineer coming from the hard disk sector. He progressed thereafter into marketing and pre-sales and was later posted to Shanghai in 2005 where Esko was then just building out its presence.
Jason will be working towards Esko gaining further in-roads with its CDIs and HD Flexo in SEA and India. For this, he will be working with Esko resellers, partners, and sales/marketing teams.
