In a new initiative by KMPA, fresh recruits from ITI, VHSS, ASAP and Community College got trained and familiarized with the new working environment. A formal inauguration of this orientation class was held by President of Kerala Master Printers Association.
The students who have studied printing as their course were selected from various school and college to get familiarized with new working environment. The orientation class was held for 3 days starting from 6th November 2017. “Being a responsible association of printers, we are conducting this orientation class for them and it is our duty to impart trainees with basic knowledge about printing, statutory procedures and other standard operating procedures which they have to follow in the printing units,” says, Rajesh.G Hon Secretary KMPA.
In the orentation course KMPA took in 20 students from various schools and colleges. The students underwent training as per the prescribed time table for 3 days in various topics by different faculty. After the orientation course they will undergo one year practical training in KMPA member’s printing units with stipends as trainee. “The students will be monitored and evaluated in different stages, and after the final exam, the trainee will be absorbed in the printing units,” says Rajesh.
