New Graphics Security Printer of Mayur Vihar, New Delhi boosted their printing capabilities by investing in a Konica Minolta AccurioPress C7090. Mr. MK Sharma started his printing business with Offset printing in the year 1998 and has installed a four-colour AccurioPress digital machine just last year.
Starting from Adast Dominant, Sharmaji expanded his business by adding more offset machines of different brands including Heidelberg and Komori. Today New Graphics Security Printer is a printing house catering to both Digital and Offset printing needs of its diverse clientele. Earlier they used to produce only large format prints for the digital segment chiefly comprising vinyl and flex boards etc. When they saw that for their proofing needs they had to outsource their digital works, they decided to install a digital machine in-house. For urgent or short runs upto 200 copies, they use the Digital faculty and for longer runs, it is usually the Offset process they do. Initially, it was a monochrome digital machine that used to answer the digital customers’ demand and just last year they moved up to install a four colour digital machine of Konica Minolta brand. The Konica Minolta machine was running at a setup with complete end-to-end production. Sharmaji bought the whole set-up from that user and is absolutely happy with the machine’s capabilities as well as KM’s support.
Sakshi Jain of Poster N Frames bought their AccurioPress C7090 in the year 2022. This printing house has been in the printing field catering to various needs of the industry for the last 15 years. The large part of the business has been doing job works and getting them done from outsources. Two years ago they decided to install their own machine and that was a full-colour Konica Minolta AccurioPress C7090 digital machine. They have been doing all type of digital printing jobs be it for customers who come to their shop as well as for the web-to-print segment. The reason for bringing printing in-house was to find a solution to the problems of in-time deliveries as well as quality, according to Ms Sakshi Jain. The reasons she further enumerates for buying the Konica Minolta machine are:the brand’s reputation; high quality printing as well as the robust construction of the machine; Konica Minolta’s customer support as well as the reasonably priced equipment. Their maximum demand consists of 12×18 size on 250gsm substrate. The C7090 supports a maximum size of 13×39. For postpress, they have UV coating. Ms Sakshi Jain finds Konica Minolta as the best machine for Indian printers who can ensure volumes. Though the quantum of work they used to do as jobbers is yet to be achieved, she is confident to secure the same volumes soon with their new Konica Minolta C7090.
Sagar Digital Printers is an old printing business that started with Photo Album manufacturing around 40 years ago in the historic city of Kanpur. About 12 years ago they started printing photographs with a Konica Minolta 73hc machine which they bought from Monotech Systems. They soon added commercial printing to their product portfolio and added a Konica Minolta C1085 after some time. These machines were complement by two successive C6085 machines from Konica Minolta. Today, Sagar Digital Printers has three machines from Konica Minolta – an AccurioPress C7090 and two C6085. The AccurioPress C7090 is their recent investment.
Sagar Digital Printers have two divisions – one handles commercial printing and the other is for photo album production. The C7090 has been installed to cater to digital commercial printing demands that include brochures, catalogues, children’s books and the like. It is a 13×19 size machine, informs Mr. Nikhil Shah.
Sagar Digital Printers’ investment in the recent C7090 was an upgrade of their C1085 they had been printing on for a long time. There has been no major change in print volumes after the latest installation, but Nikhil Shah finds the quality of print produced by the latest AccurioPress from Konica Minolta far superior to their older models. “Another advantage of the C7090 is its significantly lower power consumption as compared to the older machines (especially the C1085 and C6085) which were both known for their robust build and versatile media handling,” adds Nikhil Shah. The present combined turnover of both the divisions of Sagar Digital Printer – comprising the commercial printing and digital – stands at INR 3Cr. They have been a long-standing Konica Minolta customer and continue to draw their success chart with their latest technology.
Sagar Studio of Old Seelampur, Gandhi Nagar, Delhi, started business with Photography in the year 2000. With the advent of smartphones and personal photography starting to move away from studios, Sagar Studio shifted its focus towards wedding albums and photo printing. Around year 2017, they purchased their first Konica Minolta to print photographs in-house. The machine was a Konica Minolta AccurioPress C2070. As the demand for photographic prints increased the need to buy a new bigger machine arose. The next machine was again a Konica Minolta, this time an AccurioPress C7090.
The major part of their clients includes suits and saree producers who need photographic prints to be included with their products. Sagar Studio provides these customers both photographic as well as digital print services. The reason for going in for another Konica Minolta was the time-tested technology and their previous trouble-free experience with the brand and equipment. The machine has obviously helped them to boost their turnover and the expected turnover for year 2025 is 1 Crore “Konica Minolta AccurioPress C7090 has been a lifechanger for me in terms of business, experience, turnover and quality,” says Avdhesh Kumar of Sagar Studio.
