Konica Minolta Business Solutions India, launched “JETvarnish 3DS” with iFoil inline digital foiling module to help printers expand their services to include new amazing spot UV and 3D tactile varnishing capabilities at Pamex 2015. The award-winning JETvarnish 3D takes digital spot UV coating to a new dimension, featuring increased output for flat spot UV jobs and elegant 3D raised effects.
Mr Yuji Nakata, MD Konica Minolta Business Solutions said, “We are extremely glad to launch JETvarnish 3DS at Pamex 2015, the mega event for printing in Asia. The unique Technology in JETvarnish 3DS that takes Print to the next level is designed and manufactured by MGI with Konica Minolta technologies to help printers expand their services to include new amazing spot UV and 3D tactile varnishing capabilities. Recently we had introduced our 3rd generation of high-chroma production printing systems in Rajasthan Photo Fair 2015. With our new generation of Konica Minolta’s production printing systems, we not only offer our customers, impressive colour reproduction over a wide range but also enable colour users to get the best out of photos, printing them in a fantastic quality.”
Konica Minolta’s stall was inaugurated by Uddhav Thackeray, Shiv Sena chief at Pamex 2015, Mumbai. The Senior Management of Konica Minolta India led by the MD, Yuji Nakata also graced the event with their presence.
The JETvarnish 3DS is a unique Technology that takes Print to the next level is designed and manufactured by MGI with Konica Minolta technologies to help printers expand their services to include new amazing spot UV and 3D tactile varnishing capabilities. The MGI’s JETvarnish 3DS can convert regular printed output into high-margin spot UV printed sheets, or even higher margin 3D embossed jobs with up to 100 microns of varnish be applied to the sheet, which lifts the image from the page and adds a higher level of sheen to colours.
“The machine has the unique capability of carrying out iFoil and spot UV in single pass,” informs Balakrishnan. “It offers a combination of – expansion in application; quick turnaround; and with minimal change in existing set-ups. Also, it’s a quick to learn, easy to operate and no waste producing machine,” he adds.
MGI’s JETvarnish 3DS inkjet spot UV coater offers users the flexibility for two powerful and highly sought after digital finishing capabilities: traditional flat spot UV coating and new 3D digital effects. The new machine is specially designed to take inputs from the digital machines and offset as well.
Utilizing MGI’s patented inkjet engine technology, the JETvarnish 3DS can accommodate sheets from 8×11.8-inch up to 14.33×40-inch and substrate thicknesses from 135 to 450gsm. The 100 percent digital JETvarnish 3DS uses no plates or screens and has virtually no makeready, ideally suited runs from one to thousands, with full variable data capabilities. JETvarnish 3DS is an environmentally friendly solution that also features solvent-free coatings and a closed-circuit system that eliminates waste.
With speeds of up to 2300A3 sheets per hour for flat spot UV coating, the JETvarnish 3DS is fast machine complementing both offset and digital presses and allowing commercial printers to increase their productivity while boosting their margins and differentiating themselves from their peers.
In 3D mode, the JETvarnish 3DS can apply digital effects up to 100 microns in thickness, producing visually stunning, tactile effects. Coat directly onto digital prints (dry or liquid toner) with no lamination required and the ARC camera system ensures precise registration to printed sheets. The JETvarnish 3DS’s variable data feature allows for full personalization capabilities resulting in maximum marketing impact.
