Kunal Enterprises launched four new products at Pamex 2015. It launched the EEP-Packing products of Topan, Japan. “This is an advanced technique of packing food products which gives the products a long shelf life, because of the construction of the packing material, using the technology developed by Topan,” says Ajay Gandhi, Director, Kunal Enterprises.
They offer complete solution from packing material, filling, to the end. This new packing technology is introduced for the first time in India. Kunal is the only company offering these solutions in India. The filling machines are supplied by Sieko of Japan, which works together with Topan. “The packing material contains seven layers which includes barrier film which keeps the packed material in room temperature for a long time. We are interacting with some major consumer product packaging companies to introduce this new technology in the Indian market,” says Ajay. Topan has many other products. Kunal has started with Easypack and will be adding more products from their range to its portfolio.
The second product launched at Pamex was the roll-to-roll Cylinder Screen Printing Machine from Sakurai. This has various applications like printing on mobile, iPads, electronic items, textiles etc. “This was launched by Sakurai at IGAS in Japan earlier this year but in India it is being launched for the first time in this PAMEX show,” adds Ajay.
Kunal also launched its Material Division. “Since our founding some fifteen years ago, we have supplied hundreds of machines to our various customers. The customers have grown manifold. To be part of this growth process, we decided to launch a material division. We will now be supplying the materials needed by these customers. We have selected a few high value products like metallic inks, holographic inks, special conductive inks for printing on electronic items etc. We also supply clean room products, transfer papers for ceramic, textile transfer, lenticular sheets for 3D printing, graphic consumables from Bunshado of Japan. We have also added some doming material from Kromex, a part of Demak. Moreover, by supplying consumables, we can be in regular touch with our customers and answer their needs as and when required,” believes Ajay.
The fourth launch was the new doming machine from Demak, with additional new features at a lesser price.
Ajay is very optimistic about coming drupa exhibition. “The printing industry is constantly changing from the traditional way of printing to digital. One has to keep changing with the changing needs of the consumers, to remain in business, be it printing or supply of consumables. There are new markets and applications waiting to be tapped. Drupa next year will be all about these new way of printing for newer and newer applications. We are very optimistic about the future,” he wraps up.
