Martinenghi will promote their new Michelangelo Digital Printing machine at drupa 2016 (stand no. 3B70-8, hall 3).
Michelangelo KX48P is the Digital Printing Machine for the packaging industry and opens new avenues in the decoration of cylindrical hollow bodies, such as collapsible tubes in aluminium and plastic, plastic cartridges for silicon, aerosol cans for deodorant and cosmetic in general, aluminium bottles for beer and soft drinks, ensuring high standards of productivity, reliability and quality.
Thanks to its new process, all production batches can be handled as printing queue, making it possible to carry out a decoration change over with no line downtime, personalizing the decoration of each single tube. Quality is ensured by a built-in camera detection system thus opening new doors for end customers in their range of marketing opportunities.
The printing system integrates a contactless solution. The substrate and printing heads are never in contact eliminating mechanical stresses on the mandrels. The conveying system is composed of eight linear motors coupled to a laser measuring system. The patented device ensures high accuracy in conveying the parts under the printing deck.
The company has developed appropriate raw materials that ensure sharper, shinier graphic results. Whole process is managed by specific graphic software which continuously monitors the quality of the output. Now, plastic tube manufacturers can decorate their products using the optimum digital process.
Martinenghi is developing a complete training program that starts before the installation and includes both theoretical sessions and practical hours on a machine in a production environment. It delivers on-site support worldwide through remote assistance, network devices and support staff.
