Over 100 students from the Diploma and Engineering colleges all over India participated in a grand technical festival held at the MIT campus. The sixth edition of the fest took place from 12 to 13 February 2018. The Department of Printing and Media Engineering, MIT Manipal conducted the Media Carnival event – a national-level intercollegiate print and electronic media technical festival.
PVG’s College of Engineering & Technology, Pune bagged “Dr. TMA Pai Memorial Shield for overall Champion” in the Engineering category. 11 competitions were conducted separately for Diploma and Engineering students.
Arasan Ganesan Polytechnic College, Sivakashi (AGPC) and Salesian Institute of Graphic Arts (SIGA) shared “Prof. P.S Shivaram Memorial Shield” for overall Champion.
The two day festival was inaugurated by Vilas Nayak, Chairman and MD, Hanuman Group of Companies, Udupi. O Venugopal, VP (South), AIFMP and Sathishchandra SS, PMS Product Manager, Manipal Technologies were Guests of Honour. Dr Somashekara Bhat, Associate Director of Development, MIT presided over the inaugural function.
