Mumbai Mudrak Sangh (MMS) has honoured Mr. Arun Mehta, CMD, Vakil & Sons with the Lifetime Achievement Award (LTA). The print industry stalwart received the award during the Printer’s Day ceremony that took place at Garware Club, Mumbai on 7th April, 2016. The Chief Guest, Padmashree Awardee & Chief Editor at Indian Express Newspapers, Mr. Kumar Ketkar presented the Award to Mr. Arun Mehta.
Mr. Bimal Mehta, MD, Vakils Premedia, was felicitated as ‘Trendsetter of the Industry’ by Mr. Anand Limaye, Past President, MMS.
MMS conceived an amazing concept “Power Lunch Round Table”. Covering eight verticals – Packaging, Commercial Digital, Commercial Offset, Books, Outdoor Media, Labels, Web 2 Print and Screen printing – it was conducted with the object to understand, share and resolve current market scenarios to take futuristic steps through a one-to-one exchange.
Mudranparva by Deepak Ghare was launched at the function. The 236 page book published by Param Mitra Publication contains 36 essays. Another important release was that of ‘Mumbai Impressions’ magazine, a joint effort of MMS and BMPA.
The event also featured Drupa Curtain Raiser where eminent speakers of the participating manufacturers shared their knowledge about what was in store for those attending the Exhibition. The speakers included: Mr. Vinay Kaushal, Provin Technos; Mr. Sam Gulve, EFI; Mr. V.Vaidyalingam, Suba Solutions; Mr. Priyatosh Kumar, Xerox India; Mr. Parag Bagade, Avery Dennison; and Mr. Ashok Phillip, HP Indigo & Inkjet Press Solutions.
