Monotech Systems hosted a special event introducing two new cutting-edge digital printing machines to the Indian market in Delhi with a gathering of about 200 printing industry professionals in attendance from different parts of the country. For the uninitiated, the newly launched digital production presses, the Ricoh Pro C9500 and Ricoh Pro C7500, are designed to replace their predecessors, the Ricoh Pro C9200 and Ricoh Pro C7200.
T P Jain, MD of Monotech Systems, in his presentation emphasized the significance of innovation in their partnership with Ricoh, which began in March 2021 and highlighted their impressive track record, having installed over 350 Ricoh digital printing presses, with 75 of them being specialized color digital production engines.

According to him, “Ricoh has become the preferred choice for a wide range of digital printing applications in the Indian market, spanning commercial, photo, packaging, label, books, and security printing segments”. He elaborated on the strengths of Ricoh’s new production engines, with the Ricoh Pro C9500 catering to long-run jobs and pushing digital printing closer to offset printing. On the other hand, the Ricoh Pro C7500 is a multi-color production engine with an extended color gamut of 11 colors, making it an ideal choice for commercial, photo, and packaging markets. The machine has a 5th Color Station, upgraded media handling, and built-in automation along with a new elastic intermediate transfer belt that can handle rough and uneven surface paper. Meanwhile the Ricoh Pro C9500 is a cutsheet digital color press that can print at speeds of up to 135 pages per minute with improved media handling for paper between 40gsm and 470gsm, and extended input and output options for media up to 1260mm.

Most notably, both models can be field-upgraded for speed, and the Ricoh Pro C7500 can transition from a 4-color to a 5-color system, marking an industry first. Koji Miyao, President of Ricoh Graphic Communications BU and Corporate Officer at Ricoh emphasized the importance of values such as environmental sustainability and corporate governance for Ricoh. An interesting piece of information he shared was about the Ricoh B2 digital inkjet printing press launch scheduled for Drupa next year.

The evening show company also had some of their customers from different segments of the printing and they spoke about their experiences with Ricoh digital production systems. MN Pandey, Director of Avantika Printers recounted an incident where Monotech Systems provided a demo machine to ensure uninterrupted production in addition to the importance of quality standards and how Ricoh’s black and white presses have boosted their book printing business.
Yogesh Mehra, Managing Partner at Inspackt Packaging based out of Noida, described how the Ricoh Pro C7200x digital press had transformed their business with its 11-color printing capabilities and versatility in media and colors. He emphasised in statement that the prurement allowed them to create standout packaging materials with metallic and Pantone finishes.
Meanwhile, Ashwani Arya, Director of Perfact Color Digital Prints Pvt. Ltd, based out of Gurgaon near Delhi acknowledged Monotech Systems’s support in their printing press selection process and the extremely collaborative attitude of the Monotech team which helped them source the machine from them. It may be noted that both Monotech and Minosha represent Ricoh for sales of their production machine across India.
Ajeet Pareek, Vice President of Digital Products & Solutions, concluded the event before actual unveiling of the machines, emphasizing how these innovative products enable customers to innovate their printing processes, expand their business segments, and reach a broader market by way fo a few interesting videos.
