Faridabad based Indian machine manufacturer Multitech Aids, exhibiting at the recent Label Expo Europe 2017, launched the S2 label printing press at the show. The machine features newly developed sleeve concept which means the print cylinder has been converted into a metal sleeve with side bearers. The self sufficient sleeve does not need an air mandrel to be mounted. The metal sleeve is more rugged than the conventional sleeve and doesn’t also feature the notch system for locking, prone to damage. The metal sleeve can be produced by any print cylinder manufacturer. In addition, it has direct servo drives on both print sleeve as well as impression cylinder of each print unit.
Ecoflex VSi ELS and Ecosmart are two new presses from Multitech. Ecoflex VSi ELS is a full servo version of the Ecoflex VSi with metal sleeve/cylinder concept while Ecosmart is suitable for PS labels and light cartons. The modern narrow web flexo press have all print units servo controlled. With servo infeed, open access, quick-change print cylinders and short web path UV configuration, users are assured of fine print quality with minimum wastage. Zero-breakLite matrix stripping ensures that the most complicated die cut shapes can be produced at high speeds.
