Amidst all the activities at drupa 2024, Novurania, the manufacturer of Printing blankets for Packaging/commercial, UV, Metal decorating, Self adhesive, office duplicators, cold foil, Coating, Heatset & Coldset Web, Under blankets more for printing and packaging industry honoured their exclusive distributor in India, Mr.Ashish Sharma of Aarushi Agencies Pvt Ltd for their support and contribution in growing Novurania’s blankets business in India.
Starting with underblankets, Novurania has developed a complete line of products, including image transfer and coating blankets. This has eliminated problems typically associated with spread-coating, such as pin-holes, solvent residue, etc.. In 1998 Novurania introduced the patented construction of blankets backed by a polyester film instead of a cotton fabric under 303 Revolution series. Even today it is considered the best amongst its contemporaries in coating applications. The first pressurized microsphere based compressible layer “Pressurized sinkless technology” is even today an exclusive prodcut from Novurania. Sinking blankets problem was taken care by the introduction of their ‘de-aired cotton’ blankets technology to avoid sinking of the blanket on press. Later they also introduced the first microsphere based calendered compressible layered blankets and have their own brand of flexographic plates which can be laser-ablated. The new generation minigap web-blanket were launched in 2006.
The group owned by the Pellegrini family, currently employs approx. 200 persons, and has aggregated sales of 40 million US$.
