Prakash Packagers started its journey with Shri Prakash Narayan Bhargava founding it in the year 1973. He is the first Polygraphy Engineer (Germany) in Uttar Pradesh (UP) and recipient of the title ‘UP Ratna’ for his invaluable contribution to the overall growth and promotion of the industry in the state. Over the decades, family-owned Prakash Packagers has been growing from one level to another with continuous joining of new generations in the business. Mr Amit Bhargava, Director, Prakash Packagers is the second generation upholding the legacy of Prakash Packagers, one of the largest and modernly-equipped offset printing and packaging converting companies in UP with multi-generational workforces.
Spreading over an area of 30,000sqft, Prakash Packagers boasts a state-of-the-art production facility. Speaking about their favourite KOMORI, Mr Amit says, “We have been an aficionado of KOMORI technology. Currently, we run three KOMORI presses among which the latest one being a Lithrone G40 Advance, just completed its installation.”
First KOMORI press at Prakash Packagers, a Lithrone GL437, was installed in 2022. Followed up next was a Super Lithrone LS-440 last year. This year, a highly versatile Lithrone G40 Advance has been added as third KOMORI to the company’s machine portfolio. “With the addition of this new and third KOMORI press, we are boosting our productivity of commercial graphics and end-products like books to a whole new level,” informs Mr Amit, adding that this new press is ideal with revolutionary functions.
A new benchmark of productivity and sustainability, Lithrone G40 Advance is a perfect press for extensive commercial and packaging jobs. It is capable to operate at a maximum speed of 17,200sph (sheets per hour), handling sheet sizes up to 750×1050mm. In addition, this eco-friendly KOMORI press is equipped with environmentally responsible functions that eventually reduce power consumption, paper waste, and greenhouse gas emission.
Alongside the three KOMORI presses, Prakash Packagers’ production facility is equipped with a string of other Heidelberg machines, a Konica Minolta digital production press, HP DesignJet PS printer, and an array of pre-press systems from Kodak as well as a host of post-press binding equipment from Welbound, Electromec, etc. “Marking quality as hallmark of our tradition, we keep upgrading our machine portfolio at times to maintain efficiency and excellence in our print outputs and end-products,” tells Mr Amit.
With a vision of perfection, Prakash Packagers perfectly meets every customer’s commercial printing needs of end-products, viz. posters, calendars, leaflets, magazines, books, business cards, folders, large-format graphics, etc. According to Mr Amit, they manage everything in-house when it comes to processing print & production of every single end-product—right from studio designing, composing, and proofreading, up to printing, packaging, and distribution.
Reminiscence of Prakash Packagers’ achievements and glory with a touch of nostalgia and fondness is determined by a bunch of awards & accolades conferred on them in recognition of their outstanding works, services, and end-products in 1996, 2005, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2020, and 2023. National Award for Excellence in Printing, Excellence in Printing by South Asia Print Congress, Gold Medal by Transworld Trade Fair, and North India Award for Print Excellence are what have so far been bagged by Prakash Packagers.
