The Department of Printing Technology, School of Engineering, Avinashilingam Institute conducted a talk and hands-on session on the topic “Print and Packaging World Record” on 16th February 2024. The session served as a hands-on opportunity to delve into the world of packaging, guided by Mr. R. Prabakar (B.Tech), World Record Achiever in the realm of print and packaging. His passion for the subject enlivened the event when he shared his wealth of knowledge and explored the vast possibilities within the print and packaging industry.
He presented an overview of the significance of print and packaging in today’s global market, emphasizing its role in brand identity, product safety, and environmental sustainability. Mr. Prabakar’s cited real-world examples and case studies to convey how ‘effective packaging’ can make or break a product in the competitive market.
The highlight of the event was the hands-on session where students got the opportunity of crafting miniature packaging under Mr. Prabakar’s guidance. AIFMP grants Scholarship
All India Federation of Maser Printers (AIFMP) has always encouraged and supported Printing Technology students. AIFMP has granted a scholarship to Ms. M. Mahalakshmi of III B.E. Printing Technology, School of Engineering, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women. She has received a scholarship amount of Rs. 15,000/-. AIFMP has granted the scholarship for the third consecutive year.
Mr. C.D.Kumaravel former General Secretary –AIFMP and President of Coimbatore Master Printers Association handed over the cheque to the student in the presence of Dr.BharathiHari Shankar, the Vice Chancellor, Dr. S.Kowsalya, the Registrar, Dr. B. Sargunam, Dean School of Engineering, Dr.A.Arulmozhi Associate Professor &Head, Department of Printing Technology, School of Engineering, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore on 29th February 2024.
