Proteck Machinery promoted its Horizon range of products at Pamex 2015. “Other than Horizon we are not marketing any other products, not manufactured by us,” says Omprakash H R, GM, Proteck Machinery. “For some time now, we have suspended manufacturing of Proteck range of cutting machines, which expect to restart shortly, though we continue to manufacture screen printing machines,” he adds.
Proteck sold two Stop Cylinder type Screen Printing Machines last year to Permacel, Mumbai for printing of bike stickers etc. they also sold a Horizon cutting machine for the post press operation of Repro India, Mumbai for the growing book-on-demand production.
Horizon performance was up to Proteck’s expectations. “Our business volume for Horizon was to the tune of 70 million Japanese Yen. We have over eleven engineers selling and servicing Horizon machines,” says Omprakash.
Horizon has launched a Rotary Die Cutter for the digital printing and textile segment. It has sold one machine to a customer in Bangladesh. “We will be launching this machine in India next year. We are very optimistic about this machine’s success here,” says Omprakash.
Horizon has been updating their product portfolio in line with changing technology and in the Drupa year they will launch new products to meet the growing demands of eCommerce and digital technological applications.
The Pamex experience for Proteck has been good. “The show had very good footfall. Overall the show was good as we could meet many of our customers at one place,” says Omprakash.
