The SIES-SOP/PTC had instituted the “STAR AWARDS” to recognize the “Innovations, creativity and developments” in the field of packaging covering all sectors- packaging materials/ forms, packaging machinery and system, ancillary adjuncts to packaging, product packaging, packaging and environment, packaging for non-packaging applications and related areas. The entries received will be on display in the SIES School of Packaging campus, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.
SIES is a national institute of repute fully devoted to upgradation of standards in packaging and creating widespread awareness of the opportunities and benefits. It offers various services that include “Career Development in Packaging Profession”, “Projects/Consultancy Services, Research‐Design‐Development in Packaging”, “Quality Assurance and Testing Services”, “Data Interface”, besides promotion and publications.
SIES is an approved Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India and affiliated with Rutgers University, School of Engineering, The State University of New Jersey, USA and Cal Poly State University, CA, USA (in process).
The awards represent various categories of packaging with participation open to all interests related to packaging like, raw material manufacturers, package converters, product packaging, packaging machinery and equipment manufacturers, ancillary packaging equipment and packaging material manufacturers, graphic designers, package printers, besides academic institutions and students.
The members of the jury will constitute experts from connected fields independent of participating group of industries. The entries received will be duly classified and displayed. The members of the judging panel will be provided with a brief of each. The assessment will be based on specific criteria covering innovation, creativity, concept and development.
The last date for submission of form is 31st July, 2017.
The awards presentation function will be intimated in Advance to all winners and participants. Senior industry dignitaries and Government heads will be invited to present the awards.
