Flexo printing major Parakh Agro Industries invests in SOMA Optima2 flexo press along with S-Mount A mounter.
SOMA has installed a new Optima2 flexo press at one of India’s pioneer companies in CI flexographic printing – Parakh Agro Industries. The latest press adds another chapter in the innovative and successful flexible packaging journey of Parakh Agro that serves a wide range of markets and customer products, including exports of flexible packaging, barrier films and laminates for hygiene, snacks and confectionary, beverages for global brands. In addition, the company produces packaging for their in-house food products, such as wheat flour and legumes (edible seeds such as beans and peas), among others.
Speaking about the installation at Parakh Agro, Mr. Suresh Parakh, CMD comments, “This acquisition of SOMA Optima2 was primarily driven by our need to enhance productivity, along with focus on reduced waste. We also needed to fulfil the requirements of high-end hygiene product companies, which necessitated handling specialty films while printing exceptional graphics. After successful print trials and subsequent visits to SOMA, we decided to invest in the SOMA Optima2 flexo press along with an S-Mount A mounter – and put our trust in SOMA technology.”
The addition of the SOMA Optima2 flexo press represents a strategic move to optimize both long and short-run print jobs while minimizing waste. The decision to invest in SOMA technology was driven by the Optima2’s ability to meet the growing demand for high-quality, cost-efficient short runs, without compromising on productivity for larger print jobs.
“Parakh Agro has been a pathfinder of sorts in the world of flexo in flexible packaging. Under the able leadership of Vinay Nalawade and the vision of the Parakh family led by Harshal Parakh, the FlexiPack division has broken flexo boundaries by adapting the latest technologies, principles and advances in flexographic printing over the past two decades. Their willingness and vision to stay ahead of time by embracing new technologies is what has allowed them to welcome the latest offering by SOMA. The Optima2 series flexo press will truly benefit their customers and ensure they globally deliver world class flexo-printed films across all frontiers,” adds Suhas Kulkarni, GM SOMA India.
As the Indian packaging industry continues its rapid growth, SOMA empowers converters to meet the challenges by providing innovative solutions for the evolving market.
