The SPAI-FESPA Awards Gala Nite was a fantastic evening full of live entertainment and an electric ambience. It was attended by industry professionals in celebrating the very best of print as a night to remember. The SPAI-FESPA Awards had stars brought into the limelight and was an important networking forum building new business contacts and relationships.
When asked about their observations about the event and entries received this is what they had to say.
Tarun Chopra: “I think we could have more participation from the industry with a little more diverse entries as a lot of our fellow printers do some amazing work which never gets the visibility they or their products deserve. In terms of organising, it was a pretty sorted event which was managed well.”
Suresh Babu: “I was very disappointed when I saw the textile printing category. Entries submitted very little effort for a major prestigious awards held in India. Because we need to take advantage of such opportunities. It is a good platform to express our imaginations and talents. Next time I will be ready to help them with technical matters as much as I can to create better works.”
Jacek Stencel: “It is a very exciting moment when, during the work of judging the entries, one can see the tremendous diligence and commitment of the printmakers in realising their often very complex projects. It is with undisguised admiration and appreciation that I have watched the level of competition entries steadily rise over the years. The 14 categories, with almost 100 entries, show that the level of print quality was high, regardless of the substrates used and their contemporary use in the textile, automotive and electronics industries, for example. It was a great moment to attend the opening ceremony of SCREENTEX INDIA 2023 where all the entries were presented to the visiting public. It was a great opportunity to promote the art of printmaking, inspire and encourage participation in the next edition of the competition. The spectacularly splendidly organised SPAI FESPA Awards evening Gala certainly brought much satisfaction and joy to all the competition winners.”
Dr Raghav Rao of title sponsor, Fujifilm Sericol India: “The whole event was very professionally organised and executed. It was wonderful to be amidst the stakeholders in the evening where talents were recognized. We are happy to have been part of this awards night where creative talents within our industry were recognised and awarded.”
