Takuya Yasui, President, Tsukatani Hamono mfg. Co. Ltd. talks about their Lucky Graphics association and high-end products at Labelexpo India 2024.
Tsukatani Hamono needs no introduction and is a household name in the printing world when it comes to high-end die-cutting and tooling solutions. A fourth-generation Tsukatani Hamono has a history of 71 years. Its Indian introduction relates to its association with Lucky Graphics, a leading name in providing a range of solutions for the printing and packaging industry in the country.
The company had been supplying its solutions to various Asian countries but India was yet a market it was exploring to step into. At the same time during a Japanese exhibition, Lucky Graphics approached Tsukatani Hamono to explore the possibilities of expansion in the Indian market. “Since, Lucky Graphics’ reputation was among the best with leading global brands under its portfolio (including Toyobo of Japan which was also well known as a well-established association in the industry), it was a simple and candid decision to go with Lucky Graphics in India,” says Takuya Yasui, President, Tsukatani Hamono.
At the recent Labelexpo India 2024, Tsukatani Hamono displayed its range of die and tooling solutions to the Indian audience. “We highlighted our punching solutions for pouch applications, like those for candies. Other key products displayed included Business Form Tools and Steel Rules, which are also our best-selling products in the country,” says Takuya Yasui. The focused product for Tsukatani would be the Flexible Dies, which the company wants to expand in future.
Looking at the competition in the dies and tooling market, Tsukatani enjoys a high position as its products cater to the high-end market. “We cater to very high-end customers. Now, with the focus on flexible dies, we are going to target the expansion in the vertical,” emphasises Takuya Yasui. Speaking about the flexible dies, he says, “Our flexible dies have a faster lead time as compared to those procured from different locations including Europe. We can supply a simple label die in just one day. The lead time, however, depends upon complexity of a project.”
Tsukatani customers are well accustomed with the quality and performance of the solutions by the company. For new customers too Tsukatani ensures they have the possibility to check the products in real time environments. For this, Tsukatani provides sample dies and other products that bring total confidence to the customers before they actually buy for their production needs.
In addition to the quality products that Tsukatani Hamono offers to the converting industry, it offers impeccable service to its customers. The service is provided round the clock for any technical issue or mechanical assistance the customers might face in their day-to-day operations.
