The Engineering Division of Uflex has announced another step in technological advancement with the launch of Extrusion Lamination machine. The solution not delivers on the market’s demand for better shelf life of products but also economy in production.
The main features of the lamination machine include:
- Unique design of drying hood to achieve optimum temperature
- Separate drive for impression roller
- Motorised three axis movement of carriage for air gap setting
- Chamber type doctor blade for anchor coating
- T Die with internal duckling & lip opening up to 1 mm
- Unique design of lamination drum to maintain even temperature across the width
- Sleeve type coating nip as an option
- Facility of Coating on very thin Poly film
MRG-Grafomac of Casale Monferrato has been merged with Uflex Group of Companies. MRG-Grafomac brings with them an expertise in rotogravure printing, lamination and other converting machines of more than three decades.
The latest in the offering is the development in the field of Electronic Line Shaft (ELS)-based rotogravure printing machines. The advantages compared to conventional mechanical transmissions include: better operator access around the press, reduction in noise level, less mechanical parts to be serviced and faster print register response.
The Press is built with Electronic Line Shaft technology. By perfectly integrating new generation of electronics and ergonomically designed mechanical components, the press is made to deliver optimum performance and productivity and speed of 350-400 MPM.
All the printing units, unwinder, rewinder, in-feed and out-feed units are individually driven by individual motors / drives and controlled and supervised by the high performance PLC and have own intelligent software.
Unwind web tension control is done by using latest generation AC asynchronous motor and AC drive. The system maintains set tension between in-feed and first printing unit precisely and isolates the printing unit from tension disturbance of the unwinding zone.
ELS models are equipped with flying splice turret unwind, rewind, sleeve type impression roller and trolley facilities. Apart from printing flexible packaging materials, it also has an option of doing reverse register coating at last printing unit.
Uflex will be exhibiting the Rotogravure ELS – Printing technology, solventless lamination and high speed slitting machine with live running during the drupa show. Visiting customers may find the answer to their diverse converting needs under one roof.
