Sanjay G Joshi, Printmark was quite impressed by the new generation technology launch like the UV Spot Printing & Gold Printing Machines. He also liked the displayed HP Indigo 12,000 at the recent PrintPack that concluded at Greater Noida.
Other technologies that caught Sanjay’s interest were table top numbering and folding and flatbed die punching creasing machines for product development, prototype carton box & short run box and sticker cutting machines.
However, he termed the PrintPack exhibition this time as moderate as technology introduction was not as per their expectation. “I found technology know how and transition upgrade info was not there and therefore the 6 days looked long for the kind of technology on display,” says Sanjay, who was attending his 6th PrintPack this time.
He also observed that the industry isn’t moving much towards revival as the current trend is moving more towards technology oriented ways especially technologies that can reduce the need for man power. “Today, automation technology is moving faster than any other thing. It is the key focus of industry today,” he says.
