With humble beginnings as a small photocopy outfit in a small booth in the city of Panchkula in the year 2001, today Verma Siyaahi is one of the leading Digital Colour Printing Shops in the region. They have recently bought a Canon C700 machine. Mr. Ajay Verma, the owner of Verma Siyaahi, is particularly impressed with the paper decurling capability of the machine. “One important reason for our buying the Canon C700 is because of the paper decurling functionality built into the machine in addition to the excellent print quality and speed,” he says. Their present turnover is about 1 crore. Ajay targets a turnover of 1.75 crores post addition of his latest hardware.
Ajay is a man of systems. He has carefully designed the systems at his organisation. The entire workflow at Verma Siyaahi is designed in such a way that the entire process of receiving the file and getting the final print in the customers hand is a smooth process of convenience. “Systems are a mainstay in our organisation not only for our convenience but also for the client,” says Ajay. “It may be a bit tedious to implement it but then the final results are very satisfactory to one and all,” he says.
Mr.Puneet Datta of Canon comments on the installation, “This is the first machine from the Canon Production arena in the Tricity and we are proud to partner with Verma Siyaahi.” He complimented Verma Siyaahi for its nice management and impeccable organisation. “There are very few print shops as organised as Verma Siyaahi and it shows on the ground. Professional environment of the shop and the positioning of the machine is perfect considering the geographical location of the shop with print requirements coming their way from all across the Himachal belt,” noted Puneet. He also felt that the approach of the owners towards the market is excellent – their Digital Printing capabilities are nicely complemented by innovative stationery products that are offered by them. They have a full fledged stationery shop being run in the basement complementing the Digital business.
Explaining the key capabilities of Canon C700, Puneet said, “The colour gamut of the machine is much higher when compared with any other competitive machine in this range. It may not be a long call to say that Canon has shrunk the imagePress technology and put into this machine.” Interesting enough is the capability of the machine to take out the ‘long prints’ which today has become a weapon for many to sell the machine.
