Recently appointed by Iwasaki as the distributor for India and the Middle East, Vinsak has made two recent installations of the state-of-the-art Iwasaki TR2 Offset presses.

The first machine was installed at M/s Seljegat Printers at Sivakasi. Seljegat operates from a 80,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility serving customers from diverse industries with its pressure sensitive labelling and shrink sleeve solutions. “We have a long history of relationship with Iwasaki,” said Mr V S Raveendran, MD, Seljegat Printers.
“Starting from the first series of VSD and RUH flat bed and semi rotary machines that we purchased when we began our journey into labels, we have grown together over the years with Iwasaki. The latest addition has been a state-of-the-art TR2 offset intermittent press, which puts us at the next level of offering high quality Litho printed labels for our customers in short to medium runs,” he added.
With the lowest cost of origination for offset, the intermittent process which offers unlimited repeat sizes & low set up web waste, Seljegat finds this process a complimentary technology to their flexo presses and better placed to compete against short run digital work as well. The machine offers additional ability to to print on textured substrates. “We are happy that M/s Vinsak has taken over the sales and support of the Iwasaki range. Our earlier experience with Vinsak’s support for ABG finishing equipment has been extremely delightful,” concludes Raveendran.
The second machine is installed at M/s Wintek Flexo Prints, Bangalore. One of the leading producers of self adhesive labels including labels on paper, film, paper laminates and vinyl labels. “The Iwasaki TR2 has been our latest investment in expanding our label printing capacity. After a series of trials with Intermittent press manufacturers, we chose the Iwasaki TR2 press specifically for its ability to offer very high quality offset prints with all finishing processes in line and its ability to use both convention wet offset as well as water less printing plates,” said Mr Gururaj Ballarwad of Wintek Flexo prints.
“The equipment is our answer to high running costs of other technologies and is a remarkable solution for the demands of short run labels. The Offset process allows us to print on textured papers with which we plan to answer the demands of high end cosmetic & wine labels market. The In-line Cold Foiling as well as Die Cutting ensures that we get a completely finished label without the need of a second pass of finishing which in short runs entails additional wastage of time and material,” added Mr Gururaj. “With Vinsak’s sales and service support for Iwasaki equipment, our confidence has further strengthened in the technology,” he concluded.
