Vinsak, the known brand in the Indian printing, packaging and label industry has recently been appointed as the exclusive agent for SPG Prints of Austria. Stovec (focusing on rotary screens for the label market) based out of Ahmedabad is a part of SPG Prints. The 70 year old company deals in Inks and Screens, printing equipments and smart solutions for every step in the engraving process – from state-of-the-art CAD software to high-tech laser engraving and exposing equipment and from low entry solutions up to complete high end, high output engraving centres.
Michael Tschol, Sales Manager Graphics, SPG Prints informs us that the company is basically a consumables driven one but has an equipment manufacturing arm too with its own Laser competence centre. SPG is now a part of the Stork Group with a revenue of over 200 million Euros and operates 10 companies worldwide. “We have an experience of more than 30 years as far as laser technology and its use in direct engraving as well as exposing is concerned,” says Michael. The company started the CtP (Computer to Plate) laser exposing technology about 6 years back for graphical application with a demand for plates for the dry offset industry.
“With the experience, wide reach and after sales & servicing capabilities of Vinsak, I am sure they make a good partner for us in the Indian market,” Michael declares.
“Repro houses in India today are well equipped with CtP plate making technologies from various vendors but very few are into direct laser engraving. We feel it would be the next level especially with more CI flexo presses expected to land up with printing providers as the market further matures,” he adds.
“The products that Vinsak will handle in India for SPG Prints include Varilex flexo CTP and the DLE direct laser engraving range,” informs Ranesh Bajaj, MD Vinsak.
